The first slim, compact AVENTAGE model, this 7.2-channel Network AV Receiver is designed for high sound quality with Anti-Resonance Technology and a high-grade aluminium front panel. It also features a DAB/DAB+ tuner for digital broadcasts, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® Built-In, 4K Ultra HD compatible HDMI with HDCP2.2 and Versatile Zone Control. The RX-AS710D is a product that will also support the latest HDMI versions and one that embraces streaming, control and high quality audio reproduction. It also features High Resolution audio playback support, 4K Ultra HD full support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® Built-in, and an audiophile design for detailed audio reproduction. The RX-AS710D AV receiver completely supports with the latest HDMI standards. Thanks to transmission of 4K video at 60 frames per second pass-through, you can fully enjoy the high definition video quality of 4K without degradation. It also adheres to the HDCP2.2 copyright protection standard for 4K video transmission. It also supports HDR (High Dynamic Range) Video which provide enhanced picture quality by simultaneously enabling greater detail for both the dark and bright parts of an image. This can be seen with the RX-AS710D's 4K60p 4:4:4 Pass through, HDMI (6 in/1 out) with HDCP2.2 (3 in/1 out), 3D and Audio Return Channel. This ensures compatibility with the latest super high resolution video formats and technology. The RX-AS710D also has 21:9 aspect ratio support, which is designed to show films recorded in the Cinema Scope format. When these films are viewed in the usual 16:9 ratio, you see black bars at the top and bottom of the screen; 21:9 eliminates these bars. By supporting 21:9 resolution, this model will be able to pass it through so that movies and games feel much more immersive. The 'D' in the RX-AS710D means native digital radio support is in-built. DAB and the improved DAB+ version is Digital Audio Broadcasting that offers a large selection of radio stations with high sound quality. Other benefits include automatic tuning to available stations with a list to choose from, and display of information such as station name and music genre. The RX-AS710D lets you preset 40 DAB/DAB+ stations. The AVENTAGE line of high-performance AV receivers is based on the audio design concept of providing a massive, full-bodied sound for movie sound effects and the accurate reproduction of music sources. By expertly harmonizing traditional and advanced technologies, every factor that affects sound quality, from materials and parts to construction, layout, vibration damping (unique foot) and “fine-tuning” the sound, is handled with no other thought than to achieve the best possible audio quality. As a result, every AVENTAGE model has the ability to reproduce the most subtle details of high-definition sound, so that listeners can enjoy a truly high-class sound studio experience at home. The RX-AS710D is also equipped with a variety of sound programmes that utilise Yamaha's original DSP technology. They allow you to easily create sound fields like actual movie theatres or concert halls in your room and enjoy natural stereoscopic sound fields. Now you can use the AV Controller app to adjust DSP parameters to your preference to match the type of music / movie or the mood you may want to achieve for your customer. There are two modes, Basic and Advanced, that you can choose according to the type of adjustments you want to do, so the RX-AS710D offers real customisation for the dedicated enthusiast or AV professional. Internally like all AVENTAGE receivers - it boasts Yamaha's A.R.T (Anti-Resonance Technology) and their H-shaped cross frame design that boosts mechanical strength, by adopting aluminium side panels that increase the stiffness of the housing, and by a three-ply structure with independent top cover and side panels. Lastly - the 5th foot (right at the centre of the bottom panel) ensures distortion and noise is kept to an absolute minimum to by dampening vibrations from the power transformer, power transistors and heat sinks, as well as vibrations that might be caused by the sound from the speakers. The RX-AS710D despite its scaled down footprint also is not shy in delivering the 'beans' as a result of this advanced power amplifier design and circuitry, with 60-100 watts being able to be driven per channel into 8/4 ohm loads. This means that whatever the source material the AVENTAGE design ensures the best, most dynamic delivery and impressive sound-stage you are likely to hear from a 'humble' AV Receiver. Each component within the RX-AS710D has been chosen because of it's quality - with high grade capacitors and transformers internally. This level of attention to details is also prevalent with the RX-AS710D's D to A processing, as the latest high performance Burr Brown direct path DA Converters for the best possible performance. Yet externally the build quality is evident too with high quality front mounted inputs all woven into an exemplary aluminium fascia, and dynamic high contrast LED display. Being a network AVR it enables seamless connectivity and control with mobile devices, with AirPlay and also Bluetooth®. Plus it can be beautifully and intuitively controlled via Yamaha's excellent AV Controller App for Andorid and iOS devices. Finally - being a fully DLNA compliant product it can stream music from computers on your LAN or NAS drive, and if you prefer streaming service support it also features strong streaming service features, as it handles Napster®, Spotify® and also vTuner®. All streaming sources can be improved not only by using High-resolution Music Enhancer, but also through it's class leading DAC's and adaptable DSP's.
