The RX-A3060 like all the AVENTAGE products from Yamaha has been designed from the outset to deliver the highest levels of audio performance possible, the RX-A3060 delivers the highest possible performance without going to the next natural step...the awesome CX-A5000/MX-A5100 processor and power amplifier. The RX-A3060 also is an AVENTAGE AVR that has Dolby Atmos® & DTS:X™ support that will suit the finest of home cinema systems. Dolby Atmos® has no no doubt raised the bar in cinema performance and realism in sound delivery - and what could compliment this new codec for the better? With Dolby Atmos, sound comes alive from all directions, including overhead. Advanced sound processing and time correction greatly improve the sound realism of moving objects, as well as providing a realistic sense of height and direction of motion. You will feel as if you are right in the middle of the story unfolding on the screen. The powerful 9-channel amp allows you to create either a 7.2.2-channel or 5.2.4-channel system with just this one unit. In fact, if it is 'object based audio' that you need - then remember the RX-A3060 also has support for DTS:X™ as well, which means that whatever your chosen encoding, the RX-A3060 will cater for them both! The AVENTAGE line of high-performance AV receivers is based on the audio design concept of providing a massive, full-bodied sound for movie sound effects and the accurate reproduction of music sources. By expertly harmonising traditional and advanced technologies, every factor that affects sound quality, from materials and parts to construction, layout, vibration damping (unique foot) and “fine-tuning” the sound, is handled with no other thought than to achieve the best possible audio quality. As a result, every AVENTAGE model has the ability to reproduce the most subtle details of high-definition sound, so that listeners can enjoy a truly high-class sound studio experience at home. Internally like all AVENTAGE receivers - it boasts Yamaha's A.R.T (Anti-Resonance Technology) and their H-shaped cross frame design that boosts mechanical strength, by adopting aluminium side panels that increase the stiffness of the housing, and by a three-ply structure with independent top cover and side panels. Lastly - the 5th foot (right at the centre of the bottom panel) ensures distortion and noise is kept to an absolute mimimum to by dampening vibrations from the power transformer, power transistors and heat sinks, as well as vibrations that might be caused by the sound from the speakers. The RX-3060 also is not shy in delivering the 'beans' as a result of this advanced power amplifier design and circuitry, with 230 watts being able to be driven per channel into demanding 4 ohm loads, or an impressive and effortless 160 watts per channel into 8 ohm loads. This means that whatever the source material the AVENTAGE design ensures the best, most dynamic delivery and impressive sound-stage you are likely to hear from a 'humble' AV Receiver. Each component within the RX-A3060 has been chosen because of it's quality - with high grade capacitors and transformers internally. This level of attnetion to details is also prevalent with the RX-A3060's D to A processing, as it is led with ultra-high performance ESS SABRE32™ Ultra DAC for ultra-high sound quality (for all channels) and produces an unsurpassed sound stage with up to 124 dB dynamic range, super low distortion and noise level. Yet externally the build quality is evident too with high quality front mounted inputs all woven into an exemplary aluminium fascia, and dynamic high contrast LED display. The RX-A3060 is an AV Receiver for the new Ultra HD generation (both audio and video!), as the new AVENTAGE AVR boasts support for the latest HDMI revision and will also support 4K Ultra HD pass-through and up-scaling. This unit completely supports with the latest HDMI standards. It can perform 4K Ultra HD up-scaling to boost a lower resolution image and supports 4:4:4 video signal for more vibrant and lifelike images, so you can fully enjoy the high definition video quality of 4K. It also adheres to the HDCP2.2 copyright protection standard for 4K video transmission. Multiple HDCP2.2 compliant inputs and outputs design (8 in /2 out) is ready for future system expansion. Despite utilising Yamaha's best processing for the main room - it does not stop there, as the RX-A3060 also has HD multi-zone capability, with assignable advanced HDMI zone switching allowing unprecedented AV switching to other rooms. This means your system need not be enjoyed solely in one location - both audio and video can now be sent to other rooms, meaning that the RX-A3060 is a 'whole home' audio and video system if required. Being a network AVR it enables seamless connectivity and control with mobile devices, with AirPlay and Bluetooth® built in. Plus it can be beautifully and intuitively controlled via Yamaha's excellent AV Controller App for Android and iOS devices. Finally - being a fully DLNA compliant product it can stream music from computers on your LAN or NAS drive, and if you prefer streaming service support it also features strong streaming service features, as it handles Napster®, Spotify® and also vTuner®. All streaming sources can be improved not only by using High-resolution Music Enhancer, but also through it's class leading DAC's and adaptable DSP's. For installers, it has both RS232 and network control for integration with most control systems (has designated drivers from Control4®). Plus, it has Yamaha's extremely useful web set up and back up utility, which enables you to save and load the system set up for customers on initial installation, or remotely also - making it a must for the best installations.
