Yamaha T-D500 AM/FM/DAB/DAB+ Tuner

The T-D500 is a high quality multi-format tuner, built to Yamaha's exacting standards to ensure the best possible performance.

The heart of the T-D500 is indubitably it's digital tuner. DAB is a method of radio broadcasting using digital signals instead of analogue signals, for near CD-quality sound. DAB provides virtually interference-free reception with no distortion or noise such as hiss or crackle.

All stations can be accessed with two turns of the rotary encoder knob, after which it stops. Favourite stations can be set at either end for greater convenience. The T-D500 like all Yamaha HiFi components comes in a high quality finish - culminating in the recognisable brushed aluminium front panel that houses the tactile and user freindly display and terminals.

the T-D500 enables reception and storage of DAB (Band III and L-Band), DAB+, FM and AM, 40-station DAB/DAB+, 30-station FM and 30-station AM preset tuning and an auto FM/AM station memory.

Like all better quality HiFi components the unit houses effective and high resolution D/A circuitry and convertors so that it can output in analogue format (RCA) - or if you wish to stay within the digital domain prior to conversion using a seperate DAC for instance the T-D500 has two high quality digital outputs (Coaxial and Optical), for optimum sound quality.

Finally, the T-D500 comes with a small, tactile remote remote control for operation - but if you want to combine the functions with another Yamaha 'HiFi' product (for instance any HiFi amplifier or Receiver), then it can be simply done as the integrated amplifiers or receivers' remote will also operate the T-D500.
